Our school offers a free healthy snack on Thursdays during the first recess. Nutritious snacks can be an important part of everyone's diet. They can provide energy in the middle of the day or when you exercise. A healthy snack between meals can also decrease your hunger and keep you from overeating at meal time. Our Family Connections worker, along with grade 6 students, help prepare the snack. This year, we had eight different healthy snacks that were made available to students.
